Ingredients

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cup cream of coconut

pkg. (3.9 oz.) JELL-O Cheesecake Flavor Instant Pudding

oz. frozen sweetened flaked coconut, divide in 1/2 and toast 1/2

pkg. (8 oz. each) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, divided

OREO Pie Crust

Hard-shell chocolate ice cream topping (optional)

mini chocolate-coated coconut and almond candy bars

Steps

BLEND together softened PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese and cream of coconut until smooth and creamy. Add dry pudding mix and beat until well blended.

ADD 1/2 thawed, but cold, coconut. Mix well. Fold in 1 tub COOL WHIP.

POUR 1/2 of pudding mixture into the OREO Pie Crust. Drizzle with hard-shell chocolate ice cream topping, if desired. Pour second half of pudding mixture over pie.

MIX 3/4 cup of toasted coconut with remaining tub of COOL WHIP and spread or pipe on pie.

FINISH pie by garnishing with mini chocolate coated coconut and almond candy bars. Sprinkle remaining toasted coconut on pie.

PLACE in freezer 30 minutes to set or refrigerate for 45 minutes. Slice and enjoy!

How to Toast Coconut

Toast coconut on plate in microwave until evenly browned. Stir often to prevent burning. WATCH CLOSELY. If you wish to use the coconut without toasting, that is also acceptable.

I made this recipe for my new bro-in-law and oh my he couldnt rate it high enough. The only thing that I did differently is I made homemade magic shell with coconut oil and choc. chips for the top! The best pie ever! thanks for the recipe.

Oh my goodness you'll never want another dessert after you've tried this one, especially if you love coconut or Mounds Candy Bar! It outranks ALL desserts! It is so easy to make but gets rave reviews everytime I fix it.

This is my favorite recipe. People ask for it over and over. It will serve 8 easily. It was easy t make and beautiful.

This recipe is excellent! This recipe could easily be used to make 2 pies because there is so much filling! I made it as directed and the filling was piled so high that there was no way the pie lid was going to fit over the pie! As everyone else has said, it is VERY rich and a little bit goes a long way! Will definitely make again!

I made this the other day for a family birthday party- it was amazing! My whole family loved it. Some said it was a little sweet but others, and even myself, went back for seconds. Definetely is a new favorite and I will be making it again this weekend for another family party.

We loved this recipe! I made a couple substitutions though. I used neufchatal cream cheese and sugar free cool whip, still very good. I also didn't want to spend money on cream of coconut so instead i used 1 cup of skim milk and added 1 1/2 tsp of almond extract. I took mounds bars and put them in my food processor so i could put little in the mixure as well. i drizzled the choco syrup on top too. Everyone thought i bought the pie from a bakery!
