  • Heat broiler.
  • Mix oil and garlic. Brush both sides of bread slices lightly with oil mixture. Place on baking sheet. Broil 1 to 2 min. on each side or until lightly toasted on both sides.
  • Cover each toast slice with 1 cheese slice; top evenly with tomatoes.
  • Broil, 4 inches from heat, 1 to 2 min. or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with oregano.

I did put some onions, powdered itialian dressing mix, olive oil, fresh basil and oregano in the tomato mixture and also used shredded mozzarella cheese instead. The only thing I wil do differently next time is to slice the bread a little thinner. I made it too think, but I will use this again. My family loved it!!!

I knew it was good when my pickiest friend said "I think this is the best bruschetta I've ever had!" I will definitely make this again!

I did use diced canned tomatoes to save myself some time and I stirred in some itilian dessing seasoning then topped it with the pre shredded cheese. They came out great! Really tasty and very easy. I will use this recipe over and over for all my parties.
