Ratings & Reviews

Rated 3 out of 5 by from this was a good recipe. this was a good recipe. i usually read the reviews before i commit to a recipe, or i find a way to jazz it up on my own. after reading the reviews on how bland this was i used a little bit of fresh garlic and salt and pepper, and believe it or not some poultry seasoning when i cooked the chicken. i never use instant rice so that had to be cooked separate but i cooked it in part chicken broth and part water and added it to the mixture when it was part way done to let it soak the rest of the way. the dish didn't come out too bad. i would make it again the same way i think. my husband and daughter liked it as always~

I have made this for my family of 10 many times and it's a big hit every time even with a husband who doesn't like chicken! It's very quick and easy and triples very well! I cut up the chicken into bite size pieces to make it stretch a little farther and the younger kids don't have to work to eat it. It's also what I would call a 'pantry meal'. It's made with ingredients that I always have on hand. Good for those nights when I realize I really need to go to the store, but don't have time! Getting ready to make it again right now! :-)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from First time I made this as specified- yes, VERY bland. First time I made this as specified- yes, VERY bland. This time I used Cr of Chick and Broccoli/cheese soups. Seasoned the chicken to no end (salt, pepper, garlic powder, dreid basil, oregano). Added monterey jack/colby and mozzarella. I actually doubled the recipe this time- my mistake. Still bland. Loaded up the salt (very unhealthy) and pepper. No go. Maybe once it sits awhile, it will taste better. One thing for sure, my teenage son is a human vacumn. He'll eat it. Won't be total waste of money. But will not make again. Sorry, Kraft.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I usually double the recipe for my larger family. I usually double the recipe for my larger family. It's now a regular part of the rotation. As for being bland, I sometimes season with garlic powder, or in doubling I get creative with the soups, 1 cream of chick & 1 cream of broccoli or celery, etc. I also use about 1&1/2 to 2 Cups of cheese on top (family loves cheese). Thought the rice was a little dry the first time so now I cook rice seperate and then mix together to heat through with soups and veggies. So many ways to change this up it never seems to be the same dinner twice!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I tried this recipe as a part of Kraft's Express Checkout. I tried this recipe as a part of Kraft's Express Checkout. It was really good. The only thing I did differently was that I sprinkled the chicken with lemon pepper seasoning. When you put it in the skillet, don't touch it for at least 5 minutes. That will sear in the seasonings. I also didn't use instant rice. I just cooked regular rice according to the directions and mixed it in with the soup and milk (I only used half of a can). Very good, would make again.

The first time I made this dish, I followed the instructions to the letter and it was wonderful but I wanted a bit more flavor. The 2nd time I made it, I cut chicken tenders into bite sized pieces and did not take them out of the pan. Then instead of adding plain mozzarella cheese, I added a blend of cheddar and mozzarella cheese. My husband and I love this recipe and I plan to make it over and over again!

After reading the reviews I decided to make several changes to the recipe and I thought it turned out delicious. I cut the chicken breasts up into bite size and sprinkled in with Adobo and lemon pepper. I sauteed onion and garlic and then added the chicken and white wine. I also added mushroom slices to the chicken and didnt cook it all the way through since I was adding it back to the rice. YUM-O.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I also cut the chicken up in bite size pieces. I also cut the chicken up in bite size pieces. I thought it was good, but like others, a little bland. I added a spoonful of mango-lime salsa on top of my dish, and it was perfect...I will make this one again, but will definatley add more spices to the chicken, and maybe french onion soup instead of the cream. So many different variations you can do with this one. It's a classic for sure.
