  • Cook sesame seed in small skillet on medium heat 3 min. or until lightly toasted, stirring constantly. Add granulated sugar; cook and stir 2 min. until sugar is caramelized and evenly coats sesame seed. Remove from heat; spread onto sheet of foil sprayed with cooking spray. Cool completely. Crumble into smaller pieces.
  • Mix sour cream, powdered sugar and dressing in large bowl until well blended. Add apples, bananas, nuts and half the sesame seed; mix lightly.
  • Top with cranberries, mint and remaining sesame seed.


Substitute 3 green apples for 3 of the red apples, and/or blueberries for the cranberries.


Purchase sesame seed candy bars, available in Latin markets, to use instead of the homemade crumbled glazed toasted sesame seed. Crush enough candy bars to measure 1/3 cup for use in this recipe.
