  • Beat cream cheese, chocolate and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended. Whisk in 2 cups COOL WHIP.
  • Spoon into crust.
  • Refrigerate 3 hours.
  • Spoon remaining COOL WHIP around edge of cheesecake; fill center with pie filling.

I did tweak it a little -- used Neufchatel cream cheese, Lite Cool Whip, and Splenda. Didn't have cherry pie filling, so used fresh strawberries & Simply Fruit as a glaze. Everyone loved the flavors. Plan to make it again this weekend for Father's Day, using fresh blueberries as the fruit topping!

The cheesecake dis-appeared in one sitting. The whole family loved it. I will give everyone the recipe because it will always be a hit, and it's so easy to make besides.

I really enjoyed making this recipe because my husband loves cheesecake and I wanted to surprise him. It was very moist and it was not too sweet. I added a touch of rum & almond extract to the cherry mixture and it turned out great. I will definately bake this again. Thanks again kraft.com

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made a variation of this recipe. I made a variation of this recipe. I left out the chocolate & the cherries & added 1/3 cup of melted butterscotch morsels. I also used the low fat cream cheese & fat free cool whip. Very light & creamy. The warm melted morsels made the cream cheese easier to work with.
