Noodle Kugel

This sweet version of classic baked noodle pudding is sprinkled with cinnamon sugar and served warm as a side dish.

what you need

container  (16 oz.) BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN 2% Milkfat Low Fat Cottage Cheese
container  (16 oz.) BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream
cup  sugar
 eggs, beaten
cup  (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
Tbsp.  vanilla
pkg.  (12 oz.) broad egg noodles, cooked, rinsed and drained
cup  dried cherries (optional)
Tbsp.  cinnamon sugar

Make It

MIX all ingredients except noodles, cherries and cinnamon sugar until well blended. Add noodles and cherries; mix lightly.

SPOON into 13x9-inch baking dish; sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.

BAKE at 350°F for 50 minutes to 1 hour or until lightly browned. Cool at least 10 minutes; cut into squares. Serve warm.

Serving Suggestion
Enjoy a serving of this Noodle Kugel with a serving of cooked lean meat, fish or poultry and a crisp, mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Light Dressing.
Kugel with Fruit
Prepare as directed, stirring in any one of the following with the noodles: 2 large apples, peeled, chopped; 1 cup raisins; 1 can (8 oz.) crushed pineapple, drained; or 1/2 cup dried cranberries.
Crunch-Topped Noodle Kugel
Prepare as directed, sprinkling with combined 1 cup coarsely crushed corn flakes and 2 Tbsp. melted butter or margarine before baking.
