Rated 2 out of 5 by from Using the whole packet of onion soup mix is overpowering! Using the whole packet of onion soup mix is overpowering! Three suggestions: (1) cut that amount to only 1 teaspoon of the mix; (2) leave out the soup mix, use cheddar cheese instead of the three cheese blend, and add 4-5 drops of Tabasco; Sauce; and, (3) divide the log in two parts: roll one in the chopped pecans, the other in chili powder. This recipe is one I have made many times. It is delicious!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME! AWESOME! This is so easy to make and was a great hit at a Christmas Party. I added red pepper flakes since we like a little spice to our foods. I made a double batch and had none left at the end of the evening. I did get several calls today for the recipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My sister in law makes these every holiday that they're at our house. My sister in law makes these every holiday that they're at our house. She usally makes 2 and she rolls one in some kind of nut and the other she rolls in chili powder for me. It tastes great and is an option for those that are allergic or don't like nuts.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this recipe for a gathering of 7 friends and there was hardly any left, they loved it. I made this recipe for a gathering of 7 friends and there was hardly any left, they loved it. I thought it was a bit salty from the onion soup mix and would reduce this next time adding in some dried minced onion in place of the omission.

My local store didn't have the Italian 3 cheese, but they had a 5 cheese shredded blend and I used vegetable dip mix instead of the onion soup mix. Family loved it! I have made several since and usually keep one on hand for snacking.
