Substitute 1 cup fresh bread crumbs for the crushed crackers. Process day-old bread in food processor container until fine crumbs form; continue with recipe as directed.

We really enjoyed this mac n cheese recipe! I omitted the tomatoes and dressing, used garden vegetable ritz crackers, added extra milk into the macaroni, sprinkled cheddar cheese on top, and spiced it with salt, garlic, and oregano.. SUPER DELISH!!!
