  • Brown meat with garlic in large skillet; drain. Return to skillet.
  • Add tomatoes with their liquid, broth and water; mix well. Bring to boil. Add pasta and zucchini; mix well. Cover; simmer on medium-low heat 15 min. or until pasta is tender.

Serving Suggestion

Serve this main dish with a mixed green salad for a quick and tasty weekday meal.

Substitute

Substitute 1 cup frozen sliced zucchini for the sliced fresh zucchini.

How to Store Dried Pasta

Dried pasta will last almost indefinitely if stored in an airtight glass or plastic container in a cool dark place. Dried whole wheat pasta can turn rancid, however, so should be used within the recommended time listed on the package.

Easy to make though I did use 1 pound of farfalle, 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning, 1 tsp dried Oregano, 1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper and omitted the Cheddar cheese, used Kraft grated Parmesan cheese instead. Husband and daughter loved it. Will definitely make this again though I am using Italian sausage instead of ground beef and adding Bell peppers, yellow squash and chopped sweet onion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it. Loved it. Used about 1/2 the amount of meat, 100% of the zucchini and 3/4 of everything else. I used goat cheese instead of cheddar. I like that I usually have all these ingredients on hand already and its a single dish with veggies included - makes it easy to prepare and quick to clean up afterwards. The dish is delicious and my family loves its too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yummy! Yummy!!! I used one pound of ground beef and about 3/4 of the other listed ingredients. Made enough for 4 large portions. I also used Italian style diced tomatoes after reading other reviews. I used rotini because I had it at home. Can't wait to serve it again! Everyone in our family enjoyed it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Successful dinner accomplished! Successful dinner accomplished! The only issue I had was not adding the whole huge huge zucchini I had. Who knew that my boys would clear the whole batch in one sitting and ask for more zucchini?! Made exactly as directed but seasoned to taste, came out as perfection! Thank you recipe maker!

I also had to add more Italian seasoning and cheese. But, after I did all that, it was quite good.
