OREO-Peanut Butter Bites

The classic chocolate and peanut butter confection gets even creamier when yummy chocolate sandwich cookies are added to the mix.

What You Need

jar (16.3 oz.) PLANTERS Creamy Peanut Butter

cups powdered sugar

OREO Cookies, chopped (about 1-1/2 cups)

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (10 oz.), broken into pieces

Make It

PLACE peanut butter in medium bowl. Gradually beat in sugar with mixer until well blended. Stir in cookie pieces.

ROLL into 66 (1-inch) balls; place in single layer in waxed paper-lined pan. Freeze 1 hour. Meanwhile, melt chocolate as directed on package.

DIP half of each ball in chocolate; gently shake off excess chocolate. Return balls to pan. Refrigerate 30 min. or until chocolate is firm. Keep refrigerated.

How to Easily Dip the Peanut Butter Bites

Use toothpick to dip peanut butter balls in chocolate as directed. Remove toothpicks after placing dipped balls in waxed paper-lined pan.

How to Easily Shape the Balls

To prevent the peanut butter mixture from sticking to your hands, dust your hands with additional powdered sugar before using to roll the peanut butter mixture into balls.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a hot cup of your favorite brewed MAXWELL HOUSE Coffee.

These were delicious! I made them for our family Christmas get together and they flew off the plate. I only used one box of chocolate and I had some leftover.

I don't care if they are a version of Buckeyes or original oreo-peanut butter bites...They are GREAT!!! and everyone loves them and wants the recipe!!!

Wonderful, but very rich! I made them smaller the 2nd time. Everyone thought I bought them from a local "expensive" candy store!

I just have 1 question....Is that 18 oz of peanut butter or is that 1--8oz jar? I want to make this but 18 oz seems like an awful lot of peanut butter

These are not an original - just a variation of Buckeyes. And I have to say, as a native Buckeye, it bothers me a little bit that these are being pawned off as "original" and as "peanut butter bites". Just my opinion.

While this recipe looks good because my whole family loves oreos, It is a Buckeye recipe with a twist, and Buckeyes are a christmas holiday tradition made the traditional way...not to mention, it may be to rich .. good idea but not for this family

I think these would be creamier and taste better without the Oreos...

These are just like buckeyes - except they added oreos. Not orginal , just a variation.

Very good! But note - it is two 1/2 cups of powdered sugar, not 2 1/2 cups! Had to double the recipe because I put too much sugar in. The family was not disappointed by this error. <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Wendy ~ This recipe calls for two and one half cups of powdered sugar. >>>
