OREO Snowman Cookie Balls

Super Easy to make and....YUM!!! Definately would freeze the cookies 10mns instead of 5. The dough flecked off into the white chocolate after the dough started to warm up.

What You Need

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

OREO Cookies, finely crushed

pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S White Chocolate, broken into pieces, melted

tsp. black decorating gel

tsp. orange decorating icing

Make It

MIX cream cheese and cookie crumbs until blended.

SHAPE into 48 (1-inch) balls. Freeze 10 min. Dip balls in melted chocolate; place on waxed paper-covered rimmed baking sheet. Decorate with remaining ingredients to resemble snowmen.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until firm.

How to Melt Chocolate

Place chocolate in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 2-1/2 min. or until chocolate is completely melted, stirring every 30 sec.

How to Easily Dip Cookie Balls

To easily coat cookie balls with the melted chocolate, add balls, in batches, to bowl of melted chocolate. Use 2 forks to roll balls in chocolate until evenly coated. Remove balls with forks, letting excess chocolate drip back into bowl. Place balls on prepared baking sheet; let stand until chocolate coating is firm.

Have not made this yet but will this weekend. How long will they keep? if i put them in the fridge or freezer how long will they stay good?

LOVE THIS RECIPE!! My boyfriend and I have made it twice. We found that it is much better to freeze for about 10 minutes after rolling balls, then dip them into the chocolate, if you don't the oreo cookie shows through. Also added mini oreos as hats! They were very cute and everyone loved them!!

i rated this 3 because my snowmen look nothing like the picture. Soon as i put 1st snowman into chocolate the chocolate had pieces of the oreo,so my snowmen turned black n white! but they do taste delicious! i used dark chocalte instead n turned them into reindeer. worked much much better! but again these taste great!

Vermont_Girl, no you do NOT remove the white filling. If you have a food processor, use that to crush them and mix everything. It works wonders! I love this recipe but I will admit that I have a very hard time with the white chocolate. I dip them in it but they never seem to cover completly and they look messy. If anybody has any advice, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

I have a question.. I plan on making these tomorrow for my child's christmas party @ school. When you crush up the oreos, do you remove the white filling from the cookies or no?
