Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can this recipe be made with apples? Can this recipe be made with apples? How many would you recommend or if using canned apples how many are recommended? I would use the long Wilton Loaf Pan for this large bread. This pan is wonderful for large loaf recipes. Add cinnamon and vanilla to this recipe. Maybe add a ***** cheese frosting as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this recipe and have been using it for years. I love this recipe and have been using it for years. I used to split it and make 2 loaves because the original recipe would make a gigantic loaf. Nowadays, I make this quite often for my kids and use a cupcake pan and sometimes add mini chocolate chips to the dough to make them extra special.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I just made this recipe as directed. I just made this recipe as directed. It has been in the oven now for more than 220 mins and is still very lukewarm, doughy in the middle. It appears this is a very large quantity of batter and if the family likes it, I will definitely fix it again, just divide the batter into two loaf poans

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I will have to try making it again. I will have to try making it again. It turned out, well, bad. I followed it exactly but the batter was too thick and it turned out dry on the outside and still gooey on the inside. Next time I will try it with less flour and put in 2 smaller loaf pans.
