However, as my husband says, I can never make anything without adding my own touch to it. This was a great basic recipe to embellish. I admit maybe I got a little carried away with additions, but everybody raved about it. Added sliced green and red peppers, mushrooms, artichoke hearts, and a little extra garlic, and some bottled hot pepper sauce to spice it up. Who knows what will end up in it the next time - the possibilities are endless!

I increased the amount of mozzarella to 2 cups (it was so good and chewy!), and I used a whole can of pasta sauce (approx. 3 cups) so there would be plenty to serve with the spaghetti. I increased the baking time for the chicken to 25 minutes, and put it back in the oven for 10 minutes after adding the remaining ingredients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a simple recipe with simple ingredients...a classic! a simple recipe with simple ingredients...a classic! even my picky daughter ate it until she got full. this was great because its almost an all in one meal: you got your meat, bread, veggies, and cheese! i had italian bread crumbs on hand, so i used that instead of the extra crispy in the directions, and omitted the oregano.

My boyfriend is pretty picky about what he eats, but he love chicken so I thought I would try it, and the first words out of his mouth when he was done was 'is there more?' when he says that I know he liked it which makes me a happy person. I usually make it once a week he likes it that much :) Thank you!!

For even moister chicken, Brine the chicken in water, sugar, and salt for a couple hours... amounts depending on number of chicken breast halves and whether you want it sweeter or saltier. For that matter, brine ANY meat... shrimp, too.

I am new to cooking and this was simple and very tastful. I add oven baked red potatoes to this.. and the only thing i did add to the receipe is I seasoned the chicken before I added the shake and bake!!! HMMMGOODIE

This was a great recipe. the only thing done differently was I cut small slits in each breast- under the skin and inserted pats of butter before baking. I did use foil in the bottom of the pan. Baking is a hobby and also, this recipe will be great for kids to master for a holiday. Thanks.

I did Pound the breasts to make them a more even thickness and sprinkled them with a little salt & fresh black pepper before coating them. Served with spaghetti and remaining sauce in jar. My wife loved this recipe.
