  • Heat oven to 425°F. Spread 1 side of each bread slice with dressing. Place 4 bread slices on baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray, dressing-sides down.

    I made the ham and swiss version and they were very tasty. However, next time I might use less dijon mustard (it was a little too strong for my taste), and I may try it without the tomato. It's a nice touch, but the tomato gets kind of lukewarm and soggy after a bit.

    I just finished this spectacular lunch. Crispy, cheesy - wow. I didn't add tomatoes (didn't have them on hand) but I layered single slices of swiss, salami, american, roast beef, turkey and more swiss. The combo of swiss and american makes a creamier cheesy experience without losing the taste of the swiss. Outstanding. This sandwich can be done so many ways - truly versatile and the Miracle Whip is just as promised. The standard store-ought pre-sliced white Italian bread I used had perfect crunch.
