  • Pour 1/4 cup dressing over steak in shallow glass dish; turn to coat both sides of steak. Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate.
  • Heat oven to 400°F. Spray large ovenproof nonstick skillet with cooking spray; heat on medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Place steak in skillet; sprinkle with pepper. Place onions around steak. Cook 3 min. or until bottom of steak is well browned. Turn steak over; turn off heat. Toss broccoli and carrots with remaining dressing. Add to skillet; mix with onions. Place skillet in oven.
  • Bake 18 to 20 min. or until steak is medium doneness (160°F). Meanwhile, cook rice as directed on package.
  • Cut steak across the grain into thin slices. Place meat on serving plates; top with vegetable mixture. Serve with rice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was very good for a quick meal. This was very good for a quick meal. I didn't have time to marinate the steak long, but this is what I did: Put the steak in the ziplock with dressing while my oven and grill pan were preheating (about 5 mins). Once the grill pan was preheated, I added the steak and pepper and the (quartered, not sliced) onion and topped with my Grill Press. After 3 mins the oven was preheated, so I flipped the steak, added the broccoli and one sliced carrot and roasted for 18 mins in oven. I had some leftover white rice from the night before that I just reheated, and then topped with the "gravy" leftover in the pan! Yummy! I would like to try again with marinating the steak longer, more carrots, and slicing the onion! But overall it was very good this way too!

This recipe needed some another seasoning besides pepper; the meat was bland, but after adding salt, it was fine. The veggies were very good and had a great flavor...I was just a bit dissappointed in the meat. I thought marinating overnight would give it more flavor; but it had no flavor. I will definately make again, but alter the seasoning with salt or Tony Chacheres when braising the meat. I also used frozen california blend veggies. My husband loved it (after I salted the meat).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Live in a loft without doors and can't have a grill. Live in a loft without doors and can't have a grill. Nervous because other steak is either fried (tons of smoke, dried out) or broiler (sets fire alarm off). This was SO delicious; tender and no smoke. Tasted as if it was from a restaurant. Used mushrooms and red onion instead of other veggies. Marinated for a day.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from who would do this to a steak? who would do this to a steak? of course, there isn't much flavor in a sirloin unles it is grilled. this is how i fix pot roast however - and it is very good with a more flavorful piece of meat like a chuck or or roast than a steak. terrible waste of a steak.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delicious--steak came out juicy and flavorful. Delicious--steak came out juicy and flavorful. 400 degrees for 18-20 minutes is a bit long, in my opinion. I lowered the temp to 375 and started checking the steak after 10 minutes. It was done medium-rare after 15 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was delicious. This was delicious. I think it's the best steak I've ever made. And the veggies with the Catalina dressing had kind of a sweet-and-savory taste. My husband had a double portion because he thought it was so good.

This is a very easy recipe to make, however, I will only leave the steak and veggies in the oven for 15 mins. I thought the steak was a little overdone. But all in all it was good and I will make it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This entire meal is absolutely fabulous. This entire meal is absolutely fabulous. The steak is so tender, and the veggies get a delicious flavor by roasting with the steak. I don't usually like brown rice, but with this meal it was great.
