Parmesan-Bacon Spinach Salad

Spinach leaves, chopped cooked bacon and tomatoes are tossed with Italian dressing flavored with bacon drippings, then sprinkled with Parmesan for a salad classic.

What You Need

slices OSCAR MAYER Center Cut Bacon, chopped

1/4

cup KRAFT Tuscan House Italian Dressing

cups torn fresh spinach

small tomato, seeded, chopped

1/3

cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Make It

COOK bacon in small saucepan until crisp. Remove bacon from saucepan, reserving 1 Tbsp. drippings in pan. Drain bacon on paper towels. Stir dressing into reserved drippings.

TOSS spinach with bacon and tomatoes in large bowl.

ADD dressing mixture and cheese; mix lightly.

This was good but nothing amazing for me. I added hard boiled egg and red onion to mine. I think next time to add some romaine or iceberg with the spinach would be good to add a little crunch.

Wow! This was delicious, quick, and easy. For a healthier version of this salad, I used turkey bacon and light Italian dressing.

After makeing the salad, my husband who is not a salad lover, asked me,the next day,if there was anymore of the salad left and could we have it again

My husband and I LOVED this salad. Eat it while the bacon drippings are still warm. Would be great for company! I will make this one often.

A little high in fat, but bacon drippings are necessary to add to the dressing. Tasted really good and very easy to make.

I did not incorporate the tomatoes in, but substituted French's dried onions instead...very tasty!

The newness of this recipe is adding the dressing to the bacon drippings. Good idea as it adds to the flavor. I added 1/2 sliced red onion and put croutons an top. Delicious and nutritious, except for the amount of sodium.

My kids ages 4&5 love this recipe, especially w/ the bacon in it. We vary is w/ other dressings though using ranch, etc.
