I made the recipe as directed, using canned 100 % fat-free chicken broth, and both my husband and I agreed that the canned broth was too strong and had too much of the typical "canned chicken soup" flavor found in prepackaged foods. When I made it again, I used Penzey's chicken soup base and could control the amount used for a much lighter broth flavor that really let the flavors of the vegetables come through.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was good with lots of changes. This was good with lots of changes. Didn't seem to have much flavor after I cooked it so I decided to make it a cold pasta salad. I added some bacon bits and some italian parmesan dressing. This version was VERY good. I put half aside and did not add the dressing to it, instead I left out the bacon bits and poured on some marinara sauce and heated it back up. Made a great pasta lunch!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This was awesome! This was awesome! My mother and I spent the day together and I made her dinner. This was the side dish and it was great. It's filled with a lot of flavor. I would definitely make it next time.. But I'd make sure to put my veggies in earlier, because they came out a little raw by the time the dish was ready for them to be put in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I just made this and I was a little nervous, but it is so yummy! I just made this and I was a little nervous, but it is so yummy! I can't wait to see if my 6 year old loves it, but I think she will. I added onion, green & red bell, carrots, peas, and some asparagus I had left in the fridge. I chopped everything small to be kidfriendly... delish! Easy too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this for my sisters baby shower over the summer and it was a big hit. I made this for my sisters baby shower over the summer and it was a big hit. I did add more herbs, since I add them to everything. I think I added a lot of basil, parsley, thyme, and of course a lot of sea salt and freshly ground pepper. Might even use this for my wedding next year!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a SUPER easy recipe. This is a SUPER easy recipe. I added some garlic powder at the same time I added the veggies. I also used frozen veggies that I defrosted before adding; they worked just as well. I got crazy with the basil before eating it, but it is definitely a new favorite side dish with fish!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from In all fairness I am not much of a cook. In all fairness I am not much of a cook. I found this very bland and orzo is not that easy to cook. Mine was mushy and gummy - this recipe ended up in the trash. Also it stuck to the pan horribly during cooking despite the telflon and constant stirring and watching.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy, and a great change for pasta! Very easy, and a great change for pasta! It was enjoyed by all! My husband doesn't like brocolli or peppers, so I just used frozen corn and peas. It turned out great! My seven year old was just asking me today, when I would make it again because it was so good!
