Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the BEST cheese ball ever! This is the BEST cheese ball ever! So perfect. The only thing that I did differently was I did add a little bit more chopped finely red bell pepper (like a extra 2 tablespoons)! Perfect for the party, everyone kept asking me for the recipe! I actually cut the recipe in half and my family and I are having it to go with dinner tonight! I make it the night before so it can firm in the refrigerator over night and I think it makes the flavors really come together!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to recipe! I've been making this cheese ball recipe for years! I usually use about 1/4 of an onion and 1/4 of the bell pepper. Then i cut the bell pepper into strips to use along side the crackers with the cheeseball :) Everyone comments about how good this cheeseball is! I dont always put the cayenne pepper in. Its good either way. It isnt spicy at all. I have fun with the crackers. It's good with a sturdier cracker..plain or flavored. All delicious! Rolling them into smaller individual balls, then rolling in the pecans is a nice alternative. Especially if you like to get a bite of the pecans with the cheeseball. I like to double this recipe too, so i can use up more of the onion and bell pepper.

This recipe was is in a Kraft Recipe book that I purchased about 25 years ago and I have been making this cheese ball for years for entertaining and for Christmas gifts. There are people, i.e. my boss, that depends on getting this cheese ball for Christmas. I am expected to make this cheese ball for our Christmas 'snacking' at work and for our family gatherings. Since I am not a good cook, this recipe has done wonders for my 'cooking' ego.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I toasted the pecans before I rolled the cheese mixture in them. I toasted the pecans before I rolled the cheese mixture in them. It made for a wonderfully crunchiness opposing the softness of the chees mixture! Pat S. Virginia

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is always a party favorite. This is always a party favorite. Everyone always wants the recipe. We shape the cheese in a log shape. You can make it in advance. After wrapping in plastic wrap, we wrap in aluminum foil and chill in refrig. Then we wrap it in Christmas material and tie it off with red ribbon and bring it to a party with crackers. It's a big hit!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect cheese appetizer. The perfect cheese appetizer. I didn't make the ball shape or roll in nuts, I just served it in a dish to save on time. It was wonderful. We all loved it. I made half of it with chopped ham as well, which was also good. I will definitely make it again, and I cannot wait to try it with summer sausage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I originally got this recipe from an old kraft cookbook and have been making it for years. I originally got this recipe from an old kraft cookbook and have been making it for years. It is easy and I always receive compliments. If someone in your family is allergic to the nuts, dried parsley can be used to cover the cheeseball

Substituted roasted red bell pepper (bottled) as another cook suggested and loved the results. I'll probably add more of the red bell pepper next time. Or may try the pimento version mentioned in the recipe. Absolutely delicious!
