What You Need

small onion, chopped

clove garlic, minced

can (14.5 oz.) fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
1/8
tsp. crushed red pepper
1
pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese, cubed, softened
1
lb. penne pasta, uncooked
1
cup frozen peas
1/2
cup KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese, divided
6
slices OSCAR MAYER Deli Fresh Smoked Ham, chopped

Make It

MELT butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Add onions and garlic; cook and stir 3 to 5 min. or until fragrant. Add broth and crushed pepper; bring to boil. Whisk in Neufchatel; cook and stir on low heat until Neufchatel is melted and sauce is well blended.

COOK pasta as directed on package just until al dente. Meanwhile, stir peas and 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese into sauce; cook 2 to 3 min. or until slightly thickened.

DRAIN pasta. Place in large serving bowl. Add sauce; toss to coat. Top with ham and remaining Parmesan.
