I made these cupcakes a few weeks ago for a church function and sent in a review saying how awful they were, but I have to make an apology. I made them again - using the correct ingredients- and they were absolutely delicious. I used unsweetened koolaid the first time, but when I used the presweetened koolaid the second time, they were exactly what most people said - fabulous. I apologize for the first review.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You have to make it with sweetened kool-aid. You have to make it with sweetened kool-aid. If you don't have enough kool-aid in the package to do what the receipe says then you have the wrong kind. Unfortunately I made it the wrong way and it was horrible. I will try again another time & I'm sure it will be great.

The cupcakes were so tart and we used less Kool-Aid than what the recipe called for. The frosting was horrible as well. We threw 2 whole batches away. Very disappointing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, easy, and very pretty! Good, easy, and very pretty! Just be sure you don't use unsweetened Kool Aid as some people on here did. I used fruit punch flavor since that was all I could find, but I'd really like to try lemonade next time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very very good. very very good. my only problem was you can't buy 'sweetened' koolaid in a packet so I sweetened my own ... sugar to packets of unsweetened koolaid. I used black cherry and it was delicious.
