You have to make it with sweetened kool-aid. If you don't have enough kool-aid in the package to do what the receipe says then you have the wrong kind. Unfortunately I made it the wrong way and it was horrible. I will try again another time & I'm sure it will be great.
Made for Bible school using cherry,was great and cake part was so fluffy and light. Taste was great.
very very good. my only problem was you can't buy 'sweetened' koolaid in a packet so I sweetened my own ... sugar to packets of unsweetened koolaid. I used black cherry and it was delicious.
