Graham cracker crumbs, peanut butter and almonds form the base for these yummy no-bake bar cookies that are topped with melted caramels and chocolate.

What You Need

cups  powdered sugar
cups  graham cracker crumbs
cups  PLANTERS Creamy Peanut Butter
cups  PLANTERS Slivered Almonds, chopped, divided
cup  (1-1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, melted
bag  (14 oz.) KRAFT Caramels
cup  water
pkg.  (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate (6 oz.), broken into pieces
Tbsp.  butter or margarine

Make It

MIX sugar, cracker crumbs, peanut butter, 1 cup of the almonds and melted butter in large bowl. Press firmly onto bottom of 13x9-inch pan.

PLACE caramels and water in large saucepan; cook on low heat until caramels are completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently. Pour over crust.

COMBINE chocolate and 3 Tbsp. butter in large saucepan. Cook on low heat until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently. Spread over caramel layer. Immediately sprinkle with remaining almonds; press gently into caramel layer. Refrigerate at least 1 hour. Cut into 36 bars. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator.
