Peanut Butter Squares Recipe

What You Need

OREO Cookies, finely crushed

1/4

cup (1/2 stick) margarine or butter, melted

1

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

3/4

cup powdered sugar

1/2

cup PLANTERS Creamy Peanut Butter

2

Tbsp. milk

2

cups thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping

Make It

BLEND cookie crumbs and margarine in small bowl. Press firmly onto bottom of 8-inch square pan; refrigerate until ready to use.

BEAT cream cheese and sugar in large bowl with electric mixer on high speed until light and fluffy. Add peanut butter and milk; beat until well blended. Stir in whipped topping.

SPREAD evenly over crust. Refrigerate 5 hours. Cut into 9 squares to serve. Store leftover dessert squares in refrigerator.

I have made this 4 times since the first of December, my new favorite "go-to" recipe. Everyone loves it, and it is quick and easy. I made it before coming to work this AM for dinner guests tonight. I do cut the peanut butter back to just over 1/3 cup, and I spread a layer of the Cool Whip over the top, but not to the edges, and then put grated chocolate and some chocolate curls on that. It dresses it up, and I always get raves on it. Thanks for this wonderful recipe

This was so good! I added crushed oreos to the top for added goodness =) My friends loved this! Would make this again!!

Made this last week, very good. Reminded me of a cheesecake type of dish, even though I don't like cheesecake...But it was delicious, everyone loved it. I used chocolate chips as topping instead of nuts.

I was concerned after reading other reviews that it didn't "set up" properly, so I used extra creamy cool whip and made it the night before so I could put it in the freezer over night. I pulled it out about 2 hours before serving, and it looked just like the picture. I was very impressed and my guest said it was "heaven." =)

The picture is misleading to me. Sure, it tasted like PB, but this was more of a "scoop into a bowl" type of dessert unlike bars as the recipe states. Maybe it's just me, but I never seem to care much for the "no bake" type of desserts. I won't be making this again.

This has got to be the best desert I've ever made!!! My husband demands it at least twice a month. I don't like peanut butter much, but this is very subtle, and I love it! Everyone should try this one!!!
