Pears, apples and red onion are simmered with brown sugar, vinegar and spices to make a chunky chutney. Serve as a condiment with roasted meats.

large  red onion, chopped

tsp.  olive oil
1/2
cup  water
1/4
cup  firmly packed brown sugar

medium  Granny Smith apples, chopped
2
medium  Bartlett pears, chopped
2
Tbsp.  cider vinegar
2
tsp.  garlic powder
1/2
tsp.  crushed red pepper

Make It

COOK and stir onion in hot oil in large skillet until onion is tender.

ADD remaining ingredients; simmer 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
