I had to add a lot of extra flour because the dough was very sticky, and YES I had it in the fridge for over an hour. I rolled half batch in green sprinkles & half batch in red sprinkles. They looked PERFECT for a Christmas gathering! They were soft, moist, & very, very, VERY good! I would definitely make this again.

I made these cookies....my only problem was that, they were so soft that I couldn't roll them into balls and had to sprinkle cinnamon sugar on them instead of rolling the dough in it....Anyone else have this problem??? I did even add an extra 1/2 cup of flour also. I will probably make them again, when I figure out how to fix the recipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An easy and simple cookie recipe! An easy and simple cookie recipe! Fun to do with kids. I had all ingredients in my pantry! (I left out the pecans) The cookies bake well (from balls to perfect shape), and taste great. My son was happy to help roll the cookies in the cinnamon sugar. Its the most he has helped in the kitchen in months!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Deeeelish! Deeeelish! I made these to send to my little brother in Iraq for Christmas. I left out the pecans, and added a TBSP of vanilla, though. To make them more Christmas-y I split the cinnamon-sugar mixture into 2 little bowls and dyed one green, one red. The cookies turned out so cute!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent cookie. Excellent cookie. They were easy to prepare and came out of the oven picture perfect. I recommend chilling the dough for 30 minutes before forming the balls. It makes it easier to roll them. And for the holidays I rolled them in colored sugar instead of cinnamon sugar.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to make and great tasting! Easy to make and great tasting! My soon-to-be 4-year old son loved rolling them into balls and then rolling them in cinnamon sugar. To his surprise, he loved them. He promised me beforehand that he wouldn't like them and wanted to wait for the sugar cookies.
