PHILADELPHIA 7-Layer Mexican Dip

"Seventh heaven" is the only accurate way to describe a tortilla chip topped with the many layers of this creamy taco dip, which includes smooth cream cheese, guac and salsa.

What You Need

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

Tbsp. TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Taco Seasoning Mix

cup guacamole

cup TACO BELL® HOME ORIGINALS® Thick 'N Chunky Salsa

cup shredded lettuce

cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese

1/2

cup chopped green onions

Tbsp. sliced black olives

Make It

MIX cream cheese and seasoning mix until blended; spread onto serving plate or bottom of pie plate.

TOP with remaining ingredients.

REFRIGERATE several hours or until chilled.

This is a great dish to bring to a pitch in. My co-workers would request this when we had pot lucks.

This tastes good. However, after refrigerating it, the cream cheese layer on bottom was almost as hard as a rock and broke every tortilla chip that people dipped into it. You either have to let the dip sit out at room temperature about an hour before serving it so the cream cheese softens up enough to scoop up with a chip or people have to scoop up the dip with a spoon and place it onto their chip.

This is a great recipe but I suggest both for ease of assembly and ease of eating that you spread the layers out on a small pizza pan instead of a pie plate. It's not as messy to work with as chef or guest that way. All the layers are more uniform that way too. Plus, it seems to last a little longer on the table!

My Grandaughter makes this for family get togethers and they all rave about it. It is easy and you can substitute or add ing. and it is still awesome.
