Pineapple-Cream Cheese Flan

What You Need

3/4

cup sugar

can (14 oz.) sweetened condensed milk

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, cubed, softened

can (6 oz.) pineapple juice (3/4 cup)

eggs

Dash of salt

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

COOK sugar in small saucepan on medium heat 5 min. or until melted and deep golden brown, stirring constantly. Immediately pour into 9-inch round pan; tilt pan to evenly cover bottom with syrup.

BLEND remaining ingredients in blender until smooth; pour over syrup in pan. Place in larger shallow pan. Add enough hot water to larger pan to come halfway up outside of 9-inch pan.

BAKE 1 hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool slightly. Carefully remove flan from water. Cool completely. Refrigerate 4 hours. Invert flan onto platter just before serving; carefully remove pan.

Prepare using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

How to Unmold Flan

Dip bottom of mold in warm water 15 sec. Gently pull flan from around edge with moistened fingers. Place moistened serving plate on top of flan. Invert mold and plate; holding mold and plate together, shake slightly to loosen. Gently remove mold and center flan on plate.

How to Make Individual Flans

Heat oven to 350°F. Prepare sugar syrup as directed; pour into 10 (1/2-cup) custard cups. Fill with cream cheese mixture; cover. Place in large shallow pan. Add enough hot water to pan to come up halfway up sides of cups. Bake 45 min. or until knife inserted in centers comes out clean. Unmold as directed. Makes 10 servings.

I wouldn't call this "flan"...its more of a flan-flavored cheesecake. My husband does NOT like traditional flan but he really enjoyed this. I would say this is an Americanized version of flan. That being said...its a VERY easy recipe and its very delicious!! I've made it for groups of people and everyone raves about it. Thank you!

A mi no me gusta esta receta porque no me gusta el queso crema, pero me gustaria saber otro tipo de flan. La receta que quisiera saber es el mousse de piña con nuez. Si alguien se la sabe por favor contactese conmigo, okay? gracias

si me gusto, pero es que a mi no me gusta mucho el Cream Cheese. Yo ya lo ise pero sin cream cheese. me gustaria saber como es el plato donde los haces y que me hagan llegar una foto del mismo.

ES MAGNIFICA Y SUPER DELICIOSA PARA UNA CENA ESPECIAL YO LA EVALUARIA X 1000 ESTRELLAS PERO SOLO HAY 5 ....Y SABES QUE SI LE PONES UNAS FRESAS CONGELADAS ( POR SUPUESTO YA DESCONGELADAS ) Y UNAS RUEDITAS DE PIÑA O CUADRITOS ARRIBA DEL FLAN EL SABOR ES SUPER MAS SABROSO.....

Es delicioso a mi esposo le encanta y ahora tengo que hacerlo cada 2 dias para que este contento, muy buena receta, a otro consejo, yo le pongo 8 oz de jugo y queda mas sabroso.
