My family LOVES this dessert, and it is so easy that even my husband has made it without a problem! I do add an extra box of pudding, an extra cup of milk, and I used a large tub of Cool Whip instead of the smaller. That helps give the bars a little more substance. We have also substituted the toffee bits with mini chocolate chips or more crushed cookie. It doesn't matter what you do to it - everyone loves this dessert!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I absolutely LOVE this dessert! I absolutely LOVE this dessert! I made it around St. Pat's Day for family and they loved it. I just made it again for just us and between me and 2 of my boys, it was gone quickly! I'm getting ready to take it to a church dinner too. It's so light and refreshing! I do use more cool whip on top b/c there just isn't enough to spread with what the recipe calls for.

Somebody had brought this recipe to a pot luck over a year ago; I have been wanting to get the recipe ever since. I found it and made it for the kids for a family get together and it was the adults raving about how good this was, and it was sooooo easy to make...I'll definitely be making this again. Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Instead of making the bars I bought 2 of the ready made Oreo cookie pie shells. Instead of making the bars I bought 2 of the ready made Oreo cookie pie shells. Divided the pudding and Cool Whip in half and it was perfect to make 2 beautiful pies. I used the toffee as a topping but think that the chopped pistachios would better balance the sweetness. This was very good and I will make it again!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This dessert was absolutely delicious. This dessert was absolutely delicious. I made it for our 4th of July bbq. Everybody liked it even a person who doesnt care for pistachio. It worked better as a scoopable dessert rather than a bar dessert but that didnt make one bit of a difference. I will definitely make this again. BIG HIT!!!!!

Tasted great! I used 3 pkgs of Pistachio pudding instead of 2 as other reviewers have mentioned. I would also recommend 1.5 tubs of cool whip versus the 1. There wasnt much whip cream left to spread on top.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good idea about the red food coloring! Good idea about the red food coloring! I didn't know you could buy the Oreo crumbs in a box either. I will certainly do that next time. Crushing the Oreo's takes forever! This recipe has become a must with my family for the holidays!
