  • Microwave sugar and corn syrup in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 5 min., stirring after 3 min. Stir in peanuts. Microwave an additional 3 to 5 min. or until golden brown.
  • Add butter and vanilla; stir until butter is completely melted. Microwave 1 min. Stir in baking soda. (Mixture will foam.)
  • Spread mixture onto baking sheet. Cool completely. Break into pieces.

Substitute

Substitute 1-1/2 cups PLANTERS Sesame Nut Mix or any PLANTERS Nuts for peanuts.

    I add the peanuts with the butter! The peanuts tasted better not so cooked. I still stirred the mixture at the peanut addition part but instead of adding the peanuts, I put it back into the microwave and cooked for 3 minutes, added the peanuts and finished following the recipe!

    This is a great and easy recipe! Made it with peanuts and cashews...!! Love It!!

    I love this recipe because it works EVERY time and it tastes great! Try adding 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper and 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper to the recipe. Add additional spices at the same time as the baking soda is added. Enjoy!
