Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very good and a great way to use Pesto when you have it already made in the freezer. Very good and a great way to use Pesto when you have it already made in the freezer. I might add also great with the wonderful garden fresh tomatoes! To the person who rated this on 8/24/10...RE the difficulty slicing the bread...slice the bread before adding the pesto and tomatoes, etc., but DO NOT slice all the way through. You will find it much easier!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I rated this 5 stars because it is very, very good, and SO, SO SIMPLE. I rated this 5 stars because it is very, very good, and SO, SO SIMPLE. I made this the first time as directed for one of my nibblies on New Year's Eve, 2005. Then I made 1/2 of the recipe tonight and put the toppings on the cut edges of 4 sub rolls (cut the tops off and discarded them). This made nice poor man's bread pizza servings for a light supper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was great! This was great!!! Our store did not have the Di Giorno Basil Pesto Sauce. I was not sure if it was the same as regular basil pesto, so I used about 3 1/2 oz. Di Giorno Marinara Sauce & 3 1/2 oz. basil pesto. Add a green salad & you have a quick meal. Or, rather than the Italian or French bread, you could substitute pizza crust for a super fast pizza.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was the easiest, most tasty bread that I have made. This was the easiest, most tasty bread that I have made. My boss loved it. She made it for her reunion, it was a hit. Most everyone asked for the recipe. My co-workers who I made an Italian dinner for went bonkers for this bread. I didn't change a thing about the recipe. One word for the bread...Yummy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I also spread a little spaghetti sauce on top of pesto following with rest of ingredients. I also spread a little spaghetti sauce on top of pesto following with rest of ingredients. This is fantastic! The first time I made it, everyone wanted the recipe. It is somewhat putzy to make, but so worth it. The Italian bread is a must!! I have made this many, many times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this for the Superbowl and my family loved it. I made this for the Superbowl and my family loved it. Three of us ate the whole loaf! (and we aren't big people) I left the olives off my section (but put them on the rest) and used cherry tomatoes in place of plum tomatoes. This is going to be a get together main-stay.
