  • Heat oven to 400°F.
  • Grease bottom and sides of 6 popover pan cups using shortening. Mix flour, cheese and Italian seasoning in medium bowl.
  • Beat eggs, milk and oil with whisk in medium bowl until blended. Add flour mixture; whisk until smooth. Spoon into prepared cups, filling each cup half full.
  • Bake 40 min. or until very firm. Remove from oven; immediately prick each popover with fork to let steam escape. Serve hot.

Special Equipment Needed


Substitute 6 (6-oz.) custard cups for the popover pan. Place greased custard cups in 15x10x1-inch pan.

For Crisper Popovers

After baking, prick popovers as directed; return to oven. Turn oven off; leave popovers in oven 5 to 10 min. or until of desired crispness.
