  • Melt butter in small saucepan on medium heat. Add nuts and sugar; mix well. Bring to boil; cook 30 sec., stirring constantly. Spread onto bottom of crust. Cool.
  • Mix pumpkin, dry pudding mixes and spice in large bowl. Gradually add milk, beating with whisk after each addition until blended. (Mixture will be thick.) Stir in 1-1/2 cups COOL WHIP. Spread over nut layer in crust.
  • Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Top with remaining COOL WHIP before serving.

Substitute PLANTERS Walnuts for the pecans.

Special Extra

Garnish with a sprinkling of additional chopped pecans just before serving.
