These party-perfect Halloween cupcakes are a cinch to prepare—and even easier when you've got kids to help put the pumpkin face decorations on.

What You Need

1
pkg.  (2-layer size) white cake mix
1/4
cup  plus 2 Tbsp. KOOL-AID Orange Flavor Sugar-Sweetened Drink Mix, divided
1
container  (16 oz.) ready-to-spread vanilla frosting
1
Tbsp.  decorating icing
 Assorted Halloween candies

Make It

PREPARE cake batter as directed on package; blend in 1/4 cup of the dry drink mix. Pour evenly into 24 paper-lined medium muffin cups.

BAKE as directed on package for cupcakes. Cool completely.

MIX frosting and 1 Tbsp. of the remaining dry drink mix; spread onto cupcakes. Decorate as desired to resemble pumpkins or jack-o'-lanterns, using remaining 1 Tbsp. dry drink mix, decorating icing and candies.

Make it Easy
Here’s a tip to make whipping up a batch of cupcakes easier. Pour the cake batter into a large resealable plastic bag. Snip off one corner from the bottom of the bag, then squeeze the batter into the prepared muffin cups. It’s much quicker and less messy than spooning the batter into the muffin cups.
