I went all of the grocery stores (including Super Walmarts) within a 25 mile radius of my home in central PA - there is no canned pumkin to be found. I was given two reasons - it is a seasonal item and there is a shortage of pumpkin due to a bad crop last season. I used canned sweet potato pie filling as a subsitute. Tasted great!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What can I say? What can I say? Low sugar,low-lowfat, low carbs and fibrous! This recipe is baad!!! If your diet can afford it you can crumble some graham crackers on top. As someone else said it is better than pumpkin pie because it is airy. Make it, store it in those little one serving Glad bowls and introduce dessert back into your diet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best. This is the best. I only made half the recipe for my family to try and everyone gives it a 10 out of 10. I did goof though and used half a 8 oz container of Cool Whip and not the 1/2 cup I should have used so it was lighter but still very delicious. I will make it again and only use 1/2 cup of Cool Whip, cant hardly wait!

I going to do a great pumpkin mousse instead of the oh so good yet bad for the body pie. So worth making trust me

I have made this without the cool whip for more of a pudding consistency and bought the mini nabisco low fat graham shells - just like pumpkin pie with a fraction of the calories. Of course, the recipe is great the way it is as well.

I made this recipe and used a pastry bag to put small portions on ginger snap cookies and garnished with candy corn. They are delicious and so much lighter than pumpkin pie. It's great for those who just like a little taste.

I serve this as one cup per serving, 1/2 cup is barely a few mouthfuls, it's only 120 cals, so not a bad amount of calories anyway. Everyone loved it, even those who thought it was chocolate and not pumpkin, lol.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tastes wonderful and low cal to boot. This tastes wonderful and low cal to boot. It makes so much though that I could have made 1/2 the receipe. Next time I will use it as a no-bake pie filling. OR put it in individual tart shells a new twist.
