  • Add VELVEETA; cook on medium heat 5 min. or until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently.
  • Add cheddar; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until melted.

Substitute

Substitute fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth for the wine.

I didn't expect this recipe would taste very good, but it was so easy I figured I would let my kids fix it with our new fondue pot. I was very pleasantly surprised with how good it was! We added a bit of black pepper and a little garlic powder to give some extra zing. We will definitely make this inexpensive but delicious meal again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for the family! Some cheese fondue recipes are finicky and get lumpy or taste too strong. This one was so easy and fool proof. It had a very nice flavor that went beyond the velveeta. Just enough to keep adults interested and something out of the ordinary for the kids plus the capacity of velveeta to keep things perfectly creamy was appreciated. It was too thick as the recipe was written so I added some milk. Easy fix but should be noted. Overall a crowd pleaser worthy of almost any occasion where fondue is served.
