The chicken stew came out tasty. I didn't have dressing but I used a couple tablespoons of olive oil and a tablespoon of italian seasoning. I also ended up adding 1 cup of water as there was not enough sauce to boil. I added chicken seasoning too. I used fresh carrots and garlic. I think next time I'll omit the potatoes and serve over rice, toast or noodles.
Excellent winter comfort food! I seasoned the chicken with salt & pepper, garlic and onion powder and a little celery seed, used cream of chicken and cream of celery soup and added some milk for consistency. I used mixed veggies and a little bit of fresh carrots and celery. I used ranch dressing instead of Italian worked great. With fresh baked biscuits, what a treat!
I made this for dinner last night and it was very good. I marinated the chicken in the Italian dressing and browned it that way, I used 1 can of cream of mushroom and 1 can of cream of chicken soup. I also cut up the potatoes in smaller pieces and used mixed vegtables. Next time I am going to use fresh carrots and maybe celery. Was very good - not to bland at all.
