Size Wise

Need an idea for brunch? This savory easy-to-make casserole is the perfect recipe to prepare since it makes enough to serve eight.

Substitute

Substitute chopped cooked ham for the cooked sausage.

Purchasing and Storing Eggs

Buy only refrigerated eggs with clean unbroken shells. Open carton and gently move each egg to make sure it is not stuck to the carton because of an unseen crack. Check the Sell-By Date on the carton. Store eggs in their original carton on an inside shelf of the refrigerator as soon as possible after purchasing. Avoid placing near foods with strong odors that can easily be absorbed. For best quality, use within 4 weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great recipe that I've been using for years. Great recipe that I've been using for years. I mostly make it on Christmas morning and it's great for holidays when you want something more than the usual but don't have a lot of time. I normally use turkey breakfast sausage links and cook them the night before. In the morning, I just have to throw it all in the pan and bake!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We have made this recipe many times, with many different ingredients. We have made this recipe many times, with many different ingredients. It is a good basic recipe. I especially like it when I have too many hamburger or hot dog buns that I am not going to use. You can use all kind of ground meat, cheese and bread, even frozen garlic bread.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Delicious. Delicious. Used pre-cooked Suasage Links (cut up of course). Had to bake it for about 55 minutes. My Dad who does not like this type of stuff loved it. Even our 2 year old loved it. Next time we will try the crescent rolls one reviewer mentioned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very simple and versatile. Very simple and versatile. Its more of a method than a recipe because you can alter it a million different ways with different meats or vegetables. I have a large family so I add more eggs and substitute 1 cup of milk for sour cream. Yum!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very easy and yummy! Very easy and yummy! We had all the ingredients on hand (we used maple flavored sausage and cut up a loaf of french bread because that's what I had). My husband, who isn't a big breakfast food person, liked it a lot!
