Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My husband, daughter and I enjoyed this recipe. My husband, daughter and I enjoyed this recipe. It was easy to make and very tasty. I used tenderized porkchops without the bone and added salt and pepper to the chops. I love pears so that was nice addition. We'll definitely make this one again. One problem I had was deciding when the chops were done. The amount of time in the recipe didn't seem long enough. I had to cook another 10 minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this the first time strictly by the recipe but there was not enough sauce. I made this the first time strictly by the recipe but there was not enough sauce. It was still good, just needed more sauce. I made it again last night and doubled the size of the can of pears and doubled the Balsamic Dressing. It was fantastic! I let the sauce cook until it thickened a little and I served it with brown rice! Absolutely delicious! I would recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was EXCELLENT! This was EXCELLENT! I am not generally a big fan of rosemary, but the sweetness of the pears and the flavor of the rosemary really balanced each other out. If your pork chops are on the thinner side, you may want to brown for slightly less time. You will definitely need the full 10 minutes to simmer so that the onions are cooked to crisp-tender. I will definitely make this again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I asked my husband to take boneless chops out of the freezer to thaw for dinner. I asked my husband to take boneless chops out of the freezer to thaw for dinner. I got home from work and found that he had taken out boneless chicken thighs! I said a little prayer and made the recipe anyway, wondering how pears would taste with chicken. It was great! Will be making this one again - using either the chicken or the pork chops.

I thought it was fine, but not my favorite by far. One of my daughters really enjoyed it, but my other two kids not so much. Interesting ingredients, but I'll stick with savory over sweet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I think this recipe was great! I think this recipe was great! My husband really enjoyed it as well. I used boneless pork instead of bone-in. It still turned out wonderful and tender. I also added some corn starch to thicken the sauce a little more. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a tasty fall inspired meal.
