Rated 4 out of 5 by from This recipe is actually superb! This recipe is actually superb! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because getting the egg on the english muffin was hard for me. It went all over the place and I threw it out. So I put a round shaped thing in the frying pan and dropped the egg in that. But I took the egg out and flipped it over and it held its shape. I also used ham instead of bacon, and I toasted the english muffin first. To make this healthier, use a lower fat cheese, low sodium ham, and a wheat or other grain english muffin! Being a fast food breakfast junkie (terrible I know!!!!), this satisfied me quite well! I will definetly be making this again!

I like my muffin a little crispier then the microwave can do, so I toss it in the toaster as I take a small bowl (about as big as the muffin) and make the egg in the microwave (20 sec) top it with bacon bits and cheese (another 20 seconds) put it on the toasted muffin when it pops up. I also like to add a few jalepanos, or some avocado, or switch in sundried tomatoes and mozzerella. When I am really tight on time I make it per the original recipe execpt to keep the egg in place I put the muffin in the bottom of the bowl.

I will have to make it for my teenagers - they will love it! And it is good for them too - much better than a pop-tart! I had no problem with the egg staying on the muffin. I think because I used Thomas's english muffins. You need a rougher surface that some that are machine split and smooth. Fork split is better.

I used a MT tuna can, that I removed BOTH ends, and buttered the inside, put into a small fry pan, cracked the egg into it & slowly fried it, THEN removed the can, turned the egg over and cooked the other side. It fits right on the muffin, add the other choices and micro for 20 seconds to heat!! PS: You can put it in a baggie and makes a quick "heat up" at school OR coffee break at work!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Try making the egg in the microwave it cuts the time down ALOT. Try making the egg in the microwave it cuts the time down ALOT. Spray a small bowl with cooking spray, break the yolk then cook, watch your time it cooks really fast, you will need to loosen the edges with a spatula as it cooks and move the top yolk around but it only takes like 45 seconds to a min for each egg. My son loves this and he can help make this with me in the mornings.

I found it a little bit hard to get the egg to stay on the english muffin, so I just put it on a plate and put it in the microwave for 40 seconds and then put it on the english muffin. Also I toasted my muffin before. Otherwise, I'm eating it now and it's great! You could probably also use those ready to eat sausages, instead of bacon.

I spray a small microwave safe dish with cooking spray, then crack the egg into it and scramble it. Microwave for about 1 minute or until egg is all the way cooked. Then I add that on top of a toasted english muffin with the cheese and it comes out very good. And you don't have to worry about cracking the egg on muffin.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This wasn't as simple and quick as it seemed. This wasn't as simple and quick as it seemed. The egg wouldn't stay put nor the cheese. The times were off as well. Honestly I had a quicker and easier time just frying up an egg real quick and assembling the rest the same way. It also took a while for it to cool for the children. Good idea though.
