Really Easy Smashed Potatoes

These glorious garlic smashed potatoes have a secret ingredient that makes them extra glorious: Neufchatel cheese.

What You Need

1-1/2
lb.  red potatoes (about 5), cut into 1-inch chunks
2
cloves  garlic, peeled
4
oz.  (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese, cubed
1/4
cup  milk
1/4
tsp.  ground black pepper

Make It

COOK potatoes and garlic in boiling water in large saucepan 15 to 20 min. or until tender.

DRAIN potato mixture; return to pan.

ADD remaining ingredients; mash until Neufchatel is melted and potatoes are desired consistency.

Special Extra
For cheesy flavor, sprinkle 1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Cheddar Cheese over prepared potatoes before serving.
Variation
Prepare as directed, using peeled potatoes.
