PREPARE CONTAINERS: Rinse clean plastic containers and lids with boiling water; dry thoroughly.
PREPARE PECTIN MIXTURE: Gradually add pectin to water in medium bowl, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar. Let stand 10 min. or until pectin is completely dissolved, stirring occasionally.
REMAKE BATCH: Place jam or jelly in medium (4-qt.) saucepan. Add pectin mixture. Cook on medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring constantly. Immediately pour into prepared containers. Cover and let stand at room temperature 24 hours.
