What You Need

head  garlic

tsp.  olive oil
1/4
cup  butter, softened
1/2
cup  KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
1
loaf  Italian bread (1 lb.), cut lengthwise in half

Make It

HEAT oven to 425ºF.

CUT thin slice off top of garlic, exposing tops of all cloves; place on sheet of foil. Drizzle with oil. Wrap in foil. Bake 40 min. or until garlic is very soft. Cool 5 min. Reduce oven temperature to 400ºF.

SQUEEZE garlic cloves from papery skin into small bowl; mash with fork. Add butter; mix well. Stir in Parmesan; spread onto cut sides of bread. Place, cut-sides up, on baking sheet.

BAKE 18 to 20 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm.
