Here's an easy way to start a restaurant-style dinner for a crowd at your house. Butter, olive oil and Parmesan make this warm garlic bread a winner.

What You Need

head  garlic
tsp.  olive oil
cup  butter, softened
cup  KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
loaf  Italian bread (1 lb.), cut lengthwise in half

Make It

HEAT oven to 425ºF.

CUT thin slice off top of garlic, exposing tops of all cloves; place on sheet of foil. Drizzle with oil. Wrap in foil. Bake 40 min. or until garlic is very soft. Cool 5 min. Reduce oven temperature to 400ºF.

SQUEEZE garlic cloves from skin into small bowl; mash with fork. Add butter; mix well. Stir in cheese; spread onto cut sides of bread. Place, cut-sides up, on baking sheet.

BAKE 18 to 20 min. or until golden brown. Serve warm.
