Everyone I know has made this and loves it. Our daughter is now 32 and expecting our first grandchild. My husband and I are supposed to bring the drinks for her and her husbands baby shower. I thought of this and wanted to put it in a large punch bowl. It was going to be at their house so it would be easy to add boiling water. But, she works at a museum at the University and those people wanted to come also. Now the baby shower is at the museum and probably around 60 people. I am still going to serve this because I know everyone will love it. I am not sure if there is a way to add boiling water and keep it warm.

I used the individual tubs of Tang, Package makes 6 quarts of tang, and I used 2 packages, then because it tasted too tangy, I added 4 times more of all the other ingredients. next time I make this recipe I will try just using one of the little tubs per batch, because the sugar free is so much more concentrated. I used a large coffee cup full of water which was approx. double what the recipe called for and only used a level table spoon of the dry mixture.

Turns out some of our friends had enjoyed it years before and were happy to see it again. I ended up making several more batches for myself and as gifts. I'm already saving jars in anticipation of giving it as gifts next holiday season! It smells wonderful and feels like such an indulgent winter treat--even down here in Florida.

My family & I went camping at Blue Lake, Ontario and I made this for a nice hot drink in the evening. The scenery was wonderful with the clear still water of the lake and the sound of distant loons echoing across the campground. The Russian Tea Mix was a perfect companion to a relaxing weekend away from it all. Thanks to the Kraft Interactive Kitchen! What a splendid recipe! Wow!

I have a homeland family recipe that has adds lemon zest, sugar and allspice for fuller flavor. This tea recipe is good but could use more spice for my taste. I'd also recommend using real tea leaves if you're not into instant tea. To me, instant tea is an acquired taste. Whether you prefer my tweaking or the recipe here, either way is good to help comfort and ease a head cold.

This is CLOSE, but I made it with an ice tea mix that was LEMON flavored and included the sugar (or sugar free sweetener). I also added a pkg. of PINEAPPLE flavored Koolaid. I made large batches of the mix at at time. My adult kids wanted my original receipe.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I had this recipe a few years ago. I had this recipe a few years ago. I just wanted to make sure I remembered the correct amount of the ingredients so it would taste exactly how I used to make it. I served it after we would go see Christmas lights in our neigborhood and everyone would prefer this drink over hot chocolate! Thanks.
