This recipe always receives rave reviews when I make it! I started out making it the traditional pie shaped way, but now for fancier events, I will take the pie crust and cut 2"x2" squares and then line my mini muffin pans with the crust. I then layer in all the ingredients and end up with a beautiful bite-sized treat! I have taken them to weddings and other special events. We add both apricot preserves and a sprinkling of blue cheese into our recipe for another flavor level. My version was even featured in the St. Paul Pioneer Press amazing appetizer special this past year! Try it, you'll love it!
