What You Need

large onion, thinly sliced

slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, chopped

ready-to-use refrigerated pie crust (1/2 of 14.1-oz. pkg.)

pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

1/4

cup BREAKSTONE'S or KNUDSEN Sour Cream

1/2

cup KRAFT Shredded Swiss Cheese

Make It

COOK onions and bacon in skillet on medium-high heat 10 to 12 min. or until onions are tender, stirring frequently.

HEAT oven to 400°F. Unroll pie crust on baking sheet. Mix cream cheese and sour cream; spread onto crust. Spoon onion mixture onto center of crust, leaving 2-inch border. Sprinkle with Swiss cheese. Fold border over filling, leaving opening in center and pleating crust as necessary to fit.

BAKE 12 to 15 min. or until crust is lightly browned. Cool slightly.

For a touch of sweetness, add 1 Tbsp. orange marmalade to cooked onion mixture before spooning over cream cheese mixture on pie crust.

This recipe always receives rave reviews when I make it! I started out making it the traditional pie shaped way, but now for fancier events, I will take the pie crust and cut 2"x2" squares and then line my mini muffin pans with the crust. I then layer in all the ingredients and end up with a beautiful bite-sized treat! I have taken them to weddings and other special events. We add both apricot preserves and a sprinkling of blue cheese into our recipe for another flavor level. My version was even featured in the St. Paul Pioneer Press amazing appetizer special this past year! Try it, you'll love it!

This is a great recipe I made it for my bunco girls and it was a hit they spent the whole nite talking about it and getting the recipe. I did add a tiny ranch dressing to the cream cheese mix. I Would make this many more times, so easy!

One word: AWESOME!!! I made this recipe for the 28-3 Patriots win over the Jaguars. Success on the field and in the kitchen :))) This recipe was soooo good. The texture of the smooth cheese with the onions and chrunchy bacon was wonderful. I did have to cook longer than the time stated. Maybe 20-25 minutes or so....delicious!!! I will definitely be making this again.

Such a wonderful dish. I didn't use the bacon because I took it to a party with Vegans there. Substituted spinach instead and browned it with the onions. Wonderful!!!! It also took me about twice as long to cook it as the recipe called for.

This was delicious and a huge hit with my cocktail party. I altered it with a mix of red and white onion and REAL bacon. Lots of compliments.
