Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good, but it needs some kind of meat (crumbled bacon, smoked sausage? Pretty good, but it needs some kind of meat (crumbled bacon, smoked sausage?). However, as one reviewer pointed out, the cheese quantity does not add up. An 8 oz pkg of shredded cheese gives me more than 1 cup of cheese, and the recipe does not call for another cup to use up the rest of the 8 oz pkg. A little more explanation on why the ingredient list calls for 1 (8 oz) pkg of shredded cheese and the recipe only calls for 1 cup would be nice.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I thought the recipe looked better than it tasted. I thought the recipe looked better than it tasted. It seemed to lack flavor.I thought it needed a bit of salt and pepper. Also. I didn't know where to put the remaining 1 c cheese so put it on top before baking. I had problems with getting the cheese out of the pkg - it stuck to the bottom of the package. I also wonder if green onion would be better than regular onion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was very good. This was very good. I would definitely make it again. I served it to company and they wanted the recipe. The only thing I did different was I fried 4 eggs and put on top after the tart was baked. It made it very good. To the person that asked about the cheese. Yes you put the rest on the top. Donna

Rated 2 out of 5 by from There's something off with this recipe. There's something off with this recipe. 4 cups of uncooked hash browns is way too much. And bag of cheese is 2 cups -- so do you use half the bag or all of it? very confusing.
