Sassy Tailgate Sandwiches

Thought they were very good myself, plus eaten up in a flash by my grands...thinking of taking them to church pitch-in next!

Ingredients

pkg. (12 count) Hawaiian bread rolls

lb. shaved Black Forest ham

slices Gruyere cheese

tub (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Chive & Onion Cream Cheese Spread

1/2

cup butter, melted

Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

1/2

Tbsp. dried minced onion

1/4

cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps

CUT all rolls in half. Place roll bottoms in 9x13-inch pan.

PLACE equal amounts of ham on each roll bottom. Top with Gruyere.

ON each of the roll tops, spread a generous amount of the cream cheese spread. Return the tops to the bottoms making sandwiches.

IN a separate bowl, mix together the butter, Worcestershire sauce, onion and Parmesan cheese. Pour over your sandwiches and let sit for at least 20 minutes. (You can make these ahead of time and allow to sit in fridge overnight.)

PLACE sandwiches, covered in foil, in a preheated 350ºF oven. Bake for 20 minutes or until warmed through. Enjoy!

Awesome recipe! Easier than I thought and there wasn't a bite leftover. Also made with roast beef and pepper jack cheese! AMAZING!

Was okay but this is just a mock version of the ones on King's Hawaiian bread website - theirs are the original recipe. I prefer swiss cheese & cooked real onions but this one is ok in a pinch.

Outstanding! My husband and I both loved them. The first time I made these, I used regular cream cheese and added fresh chives and onions from my garden, I also used baby Swiss cheese as I couldn't find Gruyere. It was still great, but I like them better with Gruyere. I do like the fresh herbs and onions, but hard to come by in the winter. This is definitely a keeper.

THESE ARE THE BEST LITTLE SANDWICHES I HAVE EVER MADE..EASY AND GREAT FOR PITCH INS OR GAME DAY...TRUST ME MAKE A DOUBLE ORDER BECAUSE THEY WILL GO QUICKLY.

I made them for a party once, and accidentally used smoked gruyere - everyone loved them! Now I don't know which way I like best, as both are very good.
