After perparing the cake the directions say to 'POUR milk and 2 cups water into large bowl.' However there is no mention of 2 cups water listed in the ingrediants. Are the instructions correct and the ingrediants list in error??? Please someone let me know I am dying to make this!!! <<< Response from Kraft Kitchens Expert, Maggie ~ The instructions are correct. Kraft recipes do not include water in the list of ingredients. >>>

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I rate it a high Four Stars! I rate it a high Four Stars! I made the recipe just exactly as it said on the directions, and it was really good. The only thing that I recommend is that you do not fill the pan more than 1/3 of the way full because it will rise. (And maybe line the oven with foil so that in case it bubbles over, cleanup will be fast.) But over all it is a great dessert for those cold nights at home, paired with a cup of coffee.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I did not like this recipe at all. I did not like this recipe at all. It looks nothing like it did on the picture, the cake floated to the top and had the watery pudding at the bottom. It was just not what I expected. It *IS* called, Saucy Pudding Cake and that's exactly what I got. A saucy pudding with cake floating at the top. They should change the picture for this recipe, because that's not at all what you would get.

I made this recipe using a lemon cake mix and pudding, HOWEVER, I used only 2 cups of milk for the pudding. It turned out fantastic! I think you could probably use only 1 box of pudding and 1 cup of milk and it would also turn out good. Next I think I'll try chocolate cake and vanilla pudding and it will be like Boston cream pie. I did not use any cinnamon.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I made this recipe this past weekend. I made this recipe this past weekend. I agree with the others how the cake turned out on the top. I do not believe the directions are correct as the pudding was running over the pan like lava. Has anyone else had this trouble?! I want to make this again, but do not want to have this run all over my oven! HELP!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from You must be kidding! You must be kidding! Just made this for my son's birthday and ended up with an oven swimming in pudding. It's way too much for the pan size. Are those the right amounts of water and milk for the puddings? Something is very wrong with this recipe. I don't believe anyone actually tested it before-hand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this dessert. We love this dessert. Only instead try making the yellow cake by alone. Use chocolate cook and serve pudding. Prepare pudding according to package directions. Except serve pudding hot over the yellow cake. Top with whip cream if desired. Very rich and very delicious this way.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My cake did not turn out like the picture at all. My cake did not turn out like the picture at all. But it still tasted good. I highly recommend placing dish on a baking sheet, as pudding really does bubble. I would also use one pack of pudding instead of two so it doesn't take away from the cake. A simple, easy dish to fix.
