Sausage and Sweet Potato Stuffing Recipe

What You Need

1/2

lb. pork sausage

1

can (16 oz.) whole sweet potatoes in syrup, undrained

1

cup water

1

pkg. (6 oz.) STOVE TOP Cornbread Stuffing Mix

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

BROWN sausage in large skillet on medium-high heat. Meanwhile, drain potatoes, reserving syrup.

ADD water and reserved syrup to sausage; bring to boil. Slice potatoes. Add to sausage mixture with stuffing mix; stir just until moistened. Spoon into 1-1/2-qt. casserole; cover.

BAKE 20 min. or until heated through.

I make this every year for Thanksgiving! Everyone loves it...I also use the green onion sausage. Yum!

absolutely great. I can see this being an all meal dish. With cubed and fried new potatoes in place of the sweet potatoes, this could be a hearty breakfast meal. We will be eating this one again.

It came out great. My husband and kids don't like stuffing and they ate all of it. I used Maple sausage and sprinkled the top with a cinn., bwn sugar, nutmeg mix. I will be making this again.
