This savory side makes a perfect accompaniment to grilled or baked poultry.
For added color and flavor, substitute a sweet potato for one of the red potatoes.
To shorten the oven baking time, use your microwave for part of the recipe prep. Instead of slicing the potatoes, cut them into 1-inch cubes; place in 3-qt. microwaveable bowl. Add enough water to cover potatoes; cover with waxed paper. Microwave on HIGH 25 min. or just until potatoes are tender; drain. Meanwhile, cook onions as directed; stir in cooking creme, broth, 1 cup cheese and parsley. Spoon potatoes into 13x9-baking dish sprayed with cooking spray. Add cooking creme mixture; stir gently. Top with remaining cheese. Bake in 350ºF oven 15 min. or until cheese is melted. Let stand 5 min. before serving.

I had to bake for an additional 20min. I suggest using a higher temp, maybe 425 and bake for 45min. Or just keep the potato slices extremely thin.
My store didnt have the philly creme garlic. i used 8 oz tub of philly cream chees with onion/chive instead. this DOES have TOO MUCH LIQUID. I didn't add about 1 1/2 cups of the liquid to the baking dish, stirred halfway through the 45 minutes....and stirred again before adding the last cheese. turned out GREAT. Crowd pleaser and great for a pot luck, etc.! I think i will try all sharp cheddar next time just for color sake....... GOOD RECIPE!
This was very yummy however as I was making it I thought to myself that i should add a little milk for a smoother and creamier texture and taste. I did not change it and while it was still good as is I definitely will be adding a splash of milk next time.
