I've made this cheesecake several times over the years and it's always a hit. I'm a fairly experienced cook, but not a baker, and even I have no trouble getting this just right every time. It's a little bit of work with peeling and slicing the apples, but so worth it!
This cheesecake was amazing! I added a little nutmeg to the crust and applie pie spice to the topping. Also added a little more sugar and vanilla to the cheesecake. My husband (who doesn't care for desserts) loved it and thought it was something you would find at an upscale bakery.
